World AIDS day 2009 - HIV: Reality

Leaflets updated for 2009-10 are available from the NAT The number of people living with HIV in the UK has trebled in the last 10 years.

Think you know the facts about HIV? Think again:

The UK theme for World AIDS Day 2009 focuses on the reality of HIV today.

The theme uses real people and real situations to present true accounts of how HIV affects people living in the UK, as well as dispelling myths, misinformation and confusion.

So what can you do to boost your sexual safety, help your friends and loved ones, and raise awareness?

TheWorld AIDS Day website is a great place to start. You can order fundraising and education packs, find out key facts, and discover more about the history of World AIDS Day.

The Terrence Higgins Trust has a good section on World AIDS Day, including plenty of suggestions for activities around AIDS and safer sex.
