Chlamydia - getting tested is easy

One in ten have it, are you one? find out! "I'm OK, I haven't got chlamydia"

Think again - chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection

Free self-testing kits available in Oxfordshire. You can contact the chlamydia screening team on 01865 234526/234495 for more information or check out their website:

Am I really at risk?

If you've had sex and not used a condom, you are at risk of chlamydia.

Remember, you can't tell if someone has Chlamydia. Over 80% of people have no symptoms at all. You only have to sleep with one person who has chlamydia to catch it yourself.

Chlamydia is most common and most likely to cause complications among young women (under 25), but is also very common among men under 30.

Getting tested is painless, free and easy, and if you do get a positive test, it's not a problem; the workers will tell you just what to do to get rid of the infection and protect your partner(s).

Great, how do I do I get tested?

You can request a free self-test by phoning 01865 234526 or 01865 234495. If you're uncomfortable about having it sent to you at home, they'll talk you through getting to your local clinic.

You can also find more information on the OCSP website.
