Wheatley Young Peoples Centre opens every Monday and Wednesday and is extremely well used and popular with young men and women aged 13-17.
The clubs provide the young people with a variety of activities, ranging from issue based projects to arts workshops, music and most of all good fun: the centre has a good range of indoor activities including an air hockey table, a pool table and a giant jenga game. The centre also has access to a sports field and on pleasant evenings the young people can play supervised outdoor games organised by the workers.
A range of activities take place off-site throughout the year. These include comedy evenings, sporting events, theatre trips and trips to theme parks. All activities are decided upon by the young people who attend the centre, so the best way to do what you want is to come along and get involved!
Organised by John Watson Kids Club, the holiday playscheme includes trips and visits to places like parks, zoos, activity centres, cinemas and more. Get in touch with the centre to find out more.
Interested in taking part in young person led film and media sessions leading to making short films? Call the centre to find out more/get involved.
