The work has started and is going well in the Forum. Plans are on target for the building work to be completed by the end of April. We are ordering and taking delivery of furniture and equipment for the new youth centre and the young people have decided on a red and black theme. Decisions will soon be made for wall colours and kitchen cupboards etc. We are looking forward to the re-opening.

The young people in Kidlington had the idea of a photo shoot session, just for fun. A young woman Kirsty Moss training in college in Banbury has previously taken terrific photos of the Jus Girlz and the young parents groups so we booked her. As The Forum Youth Centre is out of use while it is being refurbished the Kaleidoscope Family Centre kindly allowed us to use their building.
By calling in favours from family and friends we had a selection of hats, wigs, belts and scarves and the young people brought some changes of clothing. It was great fun and lots of chaos during the shoot. Kirsty took 380 photos in all, many of which were not up to Kirsty’s standard and ended up on the cutting room floor!
The final photos are absolutely fantastic, something for the young people of Kidlington and Kirsty to be proud of. Have a look at a sample for yourself…….

The youth centre may be closed but we're still having fun as you can see from the photos below! Formula Fast Go Karting has opened in Banbury and the young people from Kidlington were the first youth group to try out the track. It was great fun! And we are going again half term week!
The young people went on an ice skating trip to Oxford ice rink, and a really great time as had by all, as you can see from the photos below. We have used the great pictures to make the first of the many collages that will be going up on the walls of the newly refurbished Forum when we re-open.
