About the Vibe

The Vibe is not just a building it’s a place where everyone is made to feel welcome.

In the hall you can get a game of Pool, Table Tennis or Air Hockey and in the Comfy Coffee Bar area there's space to hang out, use the PS2, Dancemat, or Karaoke. Or you could try your hand at something Arty. There's even some space to chat privately if you need to, and in the near future we hope to offer internet access.

Outside there's a hardcourt area for a game of basketball or footy.

Music

The Vibe has a fully equipped Music facility, including a rehearsal space that can be hired out at reasonable rates to young local bands. There's also a recording studio, decks room, access to musical equipment and instruments and a Youth Worker that specialises in Music Project Work. visit www.myspace.com/thevibestudios for more info

Once a month The Vibe hosts a gig using local bands from Oxfordshire's great music scene. Four or five bands play at the gig and the cost is £2.50 at the door. Recent gigs have included Paradox Method, Retribution, Blackskies Burn to name just a few. A committee of young people run and promote the gigs and the money raised goes towards renewing equipment.
